Grading Policies
Heading
missing or incomplete heading will result in
a five point deduction
Homework
-10 points the first
day homework is not returned
2nd day not returned will receive
a “0” but must complete on Friday.
Homework is due the day
after it is assigned unless otherwise
specified. Please do not ask us to make
allowances due to after-school activities
such as soccer, baseball, and trips to San
Angelo!
Make-up work
After an absence,
second graders are expected to complete all
make-up work in a timely manner. Any make-up
work not completed in class will be sent
home to be done by the date specified. Point
deductions will be taken for late work,
following the same policy as homework.
Extra credit work
In second grade, we
strive to give our students every possible
opportunity to earn grades that reflect
their abilities, we record multiple grades
in each subject and are careful to re-teach
lessons when necessary. Therefore, if a
student gives their best effort in the
classroom, their grades will reflect this.
For these reasons, we do not give extra
credit work.
